Right leads toward the Disease Research Facility, which is great for new players trying to understand the lore, but other than that serves no important purpose. I found the deep underground Research Facility. I entered a Blood Kelp Forest which lead into the Lost River (-1220/-610/-325). From there I made my way around and found an opening in the wall to the Research Facility (-414/-862/323).
