From there you have 3 ways to go. Straight and up leads to the Ghost Forest which leads out of the Lost River. Right leads toward the Disease Research Facility, which is great for new players trying to understand the lore, but other than that serves no important purpose. In the case of the disease research facility, it's in the Lost River. level 2 After you get to the bottom of the lost river which is where disease research is, there is a cave entrance to the lava zone where the next two are.
I found the deep underground Research Facility. I entered a Blood Kelp Forest which lead into the Lost River (-1220/-610/-325). From there I made my way around and found an opening in the wall to the Research Facility (-414/-862/323).
